Theatre owners request CM Stalin to order reopening of cinema halls

Members of Tamil Cinema Theatres Owners Association called on Chief Minister MK Stalin and requested him to order reopening cinema halls.

Post second wave of Covid, lockdown was imposed and theatres were shut. With things slowly coming to normalcy, various lockdown restrictions have been relaxed, however theatres remains shut.

Kollywood has been hit hard but the government has no other go than to stop the spread by shutting places where people gather. Sivakarthikeyan’s Doctor was scheduled to release in May. The film is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. Vijay Antony’s Kodiyil Oruvan and other films were scheduled to release soon.
