Actress Chithra passes away

Veteran actress Chithra passed away in Chennai today. Sources said she died due to cardiac arrest this early morning at her residence.

She was 54 and is survived by husband and daughter. Popularly known as Nallennai Chithra after she appeared in a cooking oil advertisement. Chithra’s last film was ‘En Sangathu Aalai Adichavan Evan Da’, which hit the screens in January 2020.

She was born as second child among three children to her parents at Kochi in 1965. She had an elder sister and a younger sister.

She studied studied till tenth grade in Chennai and couldn’t continue her studies since she became busy with movies by then.
