No chance for complete lockdown post Pongal, says Ma Su Subramaniam

Health Minister Ma Subramaniam today said that there is no chance for a complete lockdown after Pongal considering economic condition of all in the State.

There were rumours that a complete lockdown would be enforced as number of Covid cases are increasing after Pongal festivities are over.

Though theatres and TASMAC shops are opened, the visit to temples have been banned from 14 to 18 January.

Many are travelling to native village to celebrate Pongal. Amidst such fears, the State health minister today clarified no such proposal to enforce complete lockdown is on.
