Sarpatta : AIADMK issues notice to Pa Ranjith

The AIADMK today said that the party has issued legal notice to Pa Ranjith, director of the film Sarpatta, seeking to remove objectionable portions from the movie.

Sources said that in the notice, the AIADMK has alleged Ranjith of spreading false information about tbe party and its founder and former Chief Minister M G Ramachandran.

They sought Pa Ranjith to seek an unconditional apology and remove objectionable scenes from the film. Failing which, they have said they would initiate criminal proceedings against him.

The movie that spoke of boxing culture in North Chennai in 1970s featured Aarya, Pasupathy, Sundar, Kalaiyarasan along others in the cast. It was released last month in OTT.
