Vinayagar Chathurthi being celebrated today

Vinayagar Chaturthi is being celebrated across Tamil Nadu today.

Various pujas and abhishegams are taking place to Lord Ganesha since early Friday morning in Ganesh temples in the state.

With public gathering restrictions in place, the public is advised by the government to make the celebrations a private affair.

Markets were flooded with Vinayaka clay dolls. People queued up to buy them. Pooja items were also sold in large numbers. Fruits sellers saw brisk sales.
