Team India’s batting coach Vikram Rathour has once again backed Ajinkya Rahane amid his concerning lean patch in the ongoing Test series against England. Rathour said Rahane’s form is not a concern for the visitors despite the Indian vice-captain getting dismissed on a duck in the second innings of the ongoing fourth Test against England at the Oval. Rahane had earlier managed to score only 14 off 47 balls in the first innings of the Test match.

Rahane has so far managed to amass only 109 runs in four Test matches for India and has been far from his best with the willow. Kohli’s deputy has been criticised by many for his poor show with the bat with many experts even questioning his spot in the playing XI. Rahane has so far featured in all four matches for India and is expected to retain his spot despite his poor form.
