Lockdown in TN to be extended with more relaxations

Chief Minister M K Stalin today chaired a meeting with higher officials and health experts to seek their inputs on extension of the ongoing Covid-19 induced lockdown.

With the existing lockdown ending on Monday (5 July), it is said that it would be extended for one more week, however with some more relaxations.

Temples and places of worships in Chennai and its three neighbouring districts re-opened after a gap of nearly 50 days, public transport services commenced in 23 more districts as yet another week of Covid lockdown began on Monday morning with more relaxations.

The total and complete lockdown which began on 10 May, is being extended by every week since then with enhanced relaxations.
