President, PM attend R-day event in Delhi

President Ram Nath Kovind today led the nation in celebrating Republic Day. This Republic Day, falling in the 75th year of Independence, is being celebrated as ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ across the country.

Kovind unfurled the National Flag at an event in the capital, organised by following Covid protocols. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and top dignitaries were part of the event.

This morning, Modi tweeted: ‘Wishing you all a happy Republic Day. Jai Hind! #RepublicDay.’

After 18 days of non-stop practice, 500 dancers hailing from all corners of India showcased their talent today at Rajpath. With an average age of 22 years, the troop created electrifying atmosphere.

Global leaders including Nepal President Bidya Devi Bhandari, PM Sher Bahadur Deuba, and Foreign Minister Dr Narayan Khadka have greeted India on 73rd Republic Day.
