RPAs, drones in 3 km radius will be destroyed : INS Parunthu

The Naval Air Station INS Parunthu at Uchipuli in Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu on Friday warned that any non-conventional aerial objects, including Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPAs) or drones flying in a three km raidus around the Station will be destroyed.

An official statement from INS Parunthu said there is a prohibition on flying of non-conventional aerial objects including RPAs or drones within three km of the naval air station.

”Any non-conventional aerial objects including RPAs or drones found violating this prohibition, will be destroyed
or confiscated without any liability and action will be taken under the Indian Penal Code against the operator”,
it warned.

The warning was issued in the backdrop of asymmetric aerial attack at an Indian Air Force station in Jammu on June 27
using drones followed by spotting of drones at military camps at Kaluchak and Kunjwani in Jammu.

The INS Parunthu Air station has been on high alert after the drone attack on Air Force Station Jammu .
